Imposter Syndrome

Clients often downplay their accomplishments and sometimes dole them out here and there, which can be frustrating as a resume writer, as I’m never really sure I’ve captured everything. It is my job when creating their documents to boost their confidence and elicit their achievements. Many are concerned about boasting, and yet that’s what a resume is meant to do, to showcase experience and skills. If you did it, it’s not boasting, but rather a fact of your career, especially if you have metrics to back it up. Tell your resume writer everything about your work, even that you smile and offer to help a challenging co-worker. It’s all good and I will make it shine!
